Apostolic Works

The Disciples of Jesus: a Catholic Community on Mission.

As a Community, we do not exist for ourselves, but rather to serve as Christ.   Our Mission is to work for the Renewal of the Church and to spread the Good News to all mankind.

The following are examples of our Community's service:

Evangelisation is our most active apostolate.  We share what we have received from the Lord, by witnessing through our testimonies and lives whenever possible.

Feel free to visit our young adults website:

This is a major outreach of our Branch. It is a Fellowship of young disciples of Jesus (18-35 years) on mission in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We aim to assist young people to grow in discipleship with Jesus and to work for renewal in the Church and the spreading of the Good News to all, particularly young people under the grace of Charismatic Renewal and the New Evangelisation.

Summer Schools of Evangelisation

Disciples of Jesus

Summer School of Evangelisation

16th - 23rd January 2005

Every year we join with other branches of the Community in organising a  Summer School of Evangelisation at St. Stanislaus' College, Bathurst. NSW

The is a week-long live-in School aimed to help young people understand and deepen their faith and to develop a vision for evangelisation within the context of the life of the faith community.

The School is a lively Church encounter involving Liturgy, Sacraments, Scriptures, teachings, charismatic gifts, mission of the Church, celebration and prayer. 250 young people participated in our recent School during the week 16-23 January 2005.

Life in the Spirit Seminars

We organise Life in the Spirit Seminars to introduce others to the Grace of Baptism in the Holy Spirit and to renew their baptismal commitment.

These Seminars normally take place once or twice per year over a period of eight weeks, one session per week.
